Betty Black is a Certified Human Resource Professional with over 25 years' experience in senior Human Resource Management roles in the private and public sectors. She is a Government appointed member and Employer Representative of the Manitoba Labour Board, and a member and Past President of the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba. She has also served as a Vice-President of the United Way Board of Trustees and chaired the Community Investment Committee, In addition, Betty is a Past President of both the YM-YWCA of Winnipeg and the YMCA of Canada., and served as the first woman Vice-President of the world YMCA Board of Directors.
In 2001 Betty received the first Fellowship awarded by the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba and in 2005; Betty's outstanding achievements were further recognized when she was awarded the YM-YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Business, Trades and the Professions.
Betty consults in the areas of Respectful Workplaces, Harassment Investigations, Human Resource Policy Development and Organizational Reviews.
