What we offer:
Our clients, top Manitoba companies, hire us to fill open positions on their behalf. Human resource processes are time consuming and costly and often, organizations do not have their own recruiters. Our clients come to us in order to take advantage of our recruiting expertise and ensure that their open job orders are filled with highly qualified candidates. Job seekers apply with People First for various positions listed with us by our clients. We determine each candidates fits to all available client job postings to identify the best candidates for each position. After a phone screening, interview with a recruiter and in some cases assessments, we present the candidates who we feel are the best fit to our client’s company. Our clients then get involved and complete their own interviews with the selected candidates. Throughout the entire process, we are there helping to keep the process moving along. People First recruiters are hired on behalf of our clients to screen and interview potential job candidates on their behalf. The recruiters are facilitators in candidate’s job search process and by no means should they be a candidate’s sole job search technique. Recruiters enhance your own job search. Our focus is on filling current openings within our clients’ organizations. Unfortunately, there are always more candidates than openings; we cannot guarantee that we will be able to find you a position. However, it may come about that if you have a skill set we think might be a good fit to one of our clients we will, with your permission, present you to the client company. There is a chance that they have a current need we are not yet aware of that would suit you well. Communicating with us As with any relationship, open and honest communication is key. Our consultants will supply you with pertinent information regarding the hiring process, changes in the position or feedback on why you are or are not the best match for the position. Since time is often of the essence with recruiting, we ask that you please return our calls and emails promptly; we will do the same. If you will be unavailable for any length of time just let us know. We fully expect you are considering other opportunities; we would be doing the same if the roles were reversed. Please just keep us in the loop. If at any point during the process you are having doubts about a position, we want to know about it. We may be able to answer your questions and help you in your decision process. Be aware that filling a position can take anywhere from days to months. We will keep you informed as we receive feedback from the client; if you have any questions about the status of the project, please ask. If There Is No Immediate Match If there is not a current opening that is a match with your skill set right away, we will keep your resume in our database and consider you for all future compatible opportunities. We will be in touch when something comes up. You can be confident that we will not present you with an opportunity that we feel is inconsistent with your career goals or unsuitable in any way. We will also never forward your resume to anyone without getting your permission first. We recommend that you occasionally check our website to view our current openings; you can also keep your profile up-to-date if anything changes. Do note that we are not a placement agency; we focus our efforts on filling our current job orders. This means that there are always more candidates than positions available; we cannot guarantee that we will find you your dream job. The Employment Offer If at the end of the process you are the successful candidate, it will be time for a job offer. Prior to this, your consultant will have discussed your current compensation package and expectations. It is important that you understand the details of your current employment agreement especially the notice requirement and any potential financial penalties. If you have questions, we may be able to help. Your consultant will act as an intermediary throughout the offer phase. Please take advantage of their expertise. Follow Up After you have been placed in your new position your recruiter will periodically check in with you to find out how you are doing. This process helps us to determine if we did our job in getting you placed in a position that you enjoy and highlights your skills and talents. You will also be asked to complete a recruiter and recruitment evaluation survey to help us better fine tune our recruitment process. |
